چکیده

Digital textile printing technology has been considered the preferred since 2003, when production digital printers were first introduced at ITMA (International Exhibition of Textile Machinery) in Birmingham, UK. However, 2021, 18 years later, this is utilized fewer than 10% entire industry. In document, we aim to summarize state-of-the-art industry and predict its future trajectory.

Color Management and RIP Software for Digital Textile Printing Managing Color for Optimal Results

It is important to understand which colors are attainable within the limits of specific printers and ink sets. If a printer is incapable of producing a desired color, no amount of color management can make it possible. In addition, there are some colors that can be displayed on an RGB monitor, but not printable using a CMYK device, and vice verse (CMYK representing the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and...

Digital Printing of Digital Materials

We present a printer that builds functional three-dimensional structures by reversible assembly of a discrete set of components, “digital materials”. This approach uses the components rather than a control system to impose the spatial and functional constraints. Printing can be performed as a parallel rather than a linear process. The printing process is reversible for re-use of the pieces or f...

Digital materials for digital printing

Conventional three-dimensional printing processes are material-dependent, and are irreversible. We present an alternative approach based on three-dimensional assembly of mass-produced two-dimensional components of digital material. This significantly enlarges the available material set, allows reversible disassembly, and imposes constraints that reduce the accumulation of local positioning erro...

Digital Printing for Artists

Artists have different parameters to, for example, colour scientists, for considering the quality of the finished image. An analysis of the work is based on an artist's conception of the work and a subjective assessment of print surface, colour and image quality, which although may appear to be based on the same criteria as a reproduction, the impact on the viewer is quite different. This prese...
